ý   A decision of the Egyptian General Authority of Insurance under No. 44/1974 was issued to establish a branch at port said.

ý   On 1/8/1975, the branch started its actual activity within the port area after preparing the branch site inside the port and at the city.

ý   The branch achieves the following surveys:-

      Surveying all kinds of general cargoes.

      Surveying inland accidents.

      Surveying containers at open yards within port area.

      Surveying general cargoes in transit.

      Surveying general cargoes at consignees' warehouse.

ý   On 2/12/2004, the first containers handling terminal S.C.C.T ,  was opened at the east of port said. From that day our surveyors were existed there to achieve surveys for the account of insurance companies .

ý   The branch also surveys cargoes on the passing vessels through Suez Canal.

ý  The branch has well qualified surveyors in all kinds of cargoes.
