ý   The branch was established in 1986 since the Damietta port has started working by opening the first containers handling terminal.

ý   The branch achieves  the following surveys:

      Surveying general cargoes.

      Surveying inland accidents.

      Surveying containers at  the open yards.

      Surveying and measuring liquid bulk cargo.

      Surveying and measuring dry bulk cargo.

      Surveying containers repairing in workshops.

ý   The branch has well qualified surveyors in all kinds of cargoes.
